its the three kingdom dlc, and im on mission 5 for the liu bei campaign. whats the best outcome, betray sun clan, or dont betray them. thanks, -guy
well betraying makes the mission harder. if you want an easier time then not betraying him.
I played good guy in this one and kept my ally. Everything went fine. But even the Hints tell you this way is better.
Betraying the Sun clan is a MUCH better outcome.
If you stay allied to the Sun clan, the ending outro will play out as a bittersweet ending - Liu Bei semi content that he was able to “save” the south from Cao Cao, but sad that ultimately, the Han dynasty was not restored (his goal) and that he only did the first steps towards Han restoration - pondering what could have happened if he had betrayed the Sun clan and beaten Cao Cao.
If you betray the Sun clan, the Liu Bei restores the Han dynasty and becomes a hero of the Chinese empire, with tens of thousands of people welcomingh im as a hero. But in a corner of his mind, he feels guilty that in order to have done so, he had to betray the Sun clan. But he achieved his goal.
Therefore - betray the Sun clan and win it. It’s not even that hard, but arguably harder than Cao Cao and the Sun Clan’s final battles.
