Whats this mysterious Siege Damage Upgrade?

When going to freefoodparty.com → wiki → units and selecting any gunpowder unit (musket or skirmisher) they have a weird upgrade tech on the bottom:

It’s a very weird upgrade. It names “smokeless powder”, which is a name for a different upgrade. And it’s icon is that of the “Magdeburg Wedding” upgrade from the command post in historical battles. But the description is something completely new: +25% Siege Damage and +2 Multiplier Bonus against Walls. When selecting this upgrade, the stats in the UI update accordingly, it shows a x3 (1 + 2) multiplier against walls.

Does anyone know where to find such a siege damage upgrade in the game? I didnt find it, neither information on it anywhere else.

That’s a native tech in Saltpeter tp which only exisits on Unknown map

Are you sure? I tried Unknown about 75 times in a row to get the saltpeter settlement, but i didnt get it.

If I read techtreey.xml correctly, the tech you posted is DEUnknownSaltpeterSmokelessPowder which unlocks by DEUnknownAllianceSaltpeter. “DEUnknown” indicates it can only be accessed on Unknown.

Ok thx for the further info. However, no matter how long i try, i dont get the saltpeter settlement on Unknown. Any info on that? Like spawn percentage?

No, I never data mining random map files

It’s a possible option when the native embassy spawns. Off the top of my head I don’t know the odds. Pretty rare considering there are 50+ alliances and you only get 3 at a time with approximately a <3% chance of the native embassy wagon spawning.
