When coming these civs?
- Hungary
- Poland
- Austria
- Norway
- Denmark
I really waiting these civs.

No one knows probably even the dev aren’t completly decided yet about what civ will be next after “The Sultans’ Ascend” expansion.
On a side note austria is the HRE.

Hungary: In the DLC (Order of the Dragon is pretty much Hungary). The founder of the order is Hungarian. And the black army from screenshot is also from Hungary.
Austria is part of HRE so probably never. Unless they make multiple variants per civ, but i think they will do variants for the other civ first.
Poland I don’t think it will happen.
I think we will get one Scandinavian civ at some point but i don’t know if it will ve norse or danes. Could be next year at this time. This is the next most wanted civ.
based on the HRE and the recent DLC I’m going to guess Austria and Hungary are both unlikely to appear as full civs.
i also doubt well see 2 Scandinavian countries, but who knows.

If they have to pick, i think Danes would be best choice as they are the ones who invaded England.
A dane campaign for next dlc, released along an English Variant (Scottish, welsh…) would be quite fitting.
personally i think the Late middle ages are more interesting for Denmark. you could make a really cool campaign around Valdemar IV atterdag, who managed to reunite the kingdom after it had been pawned off and who’s daughter then formed the Kalmar union.
Poland could emerge as the Poland-Lithuania Confederation.
Hungary, well with the departure of the Order of the Dragon I am not sure, unless it is Medieval Magyar Hungary until the time of the destruction by the Mongols. I would wait for the Order of the Dragon to come out to give a more complete opinion.
I am precisely making a concept of Denmark, more medieval than Viking to reflect the era of the game, although due to the Hype and the DLC Teasers I am not releasing it yet because it would go unnoticed.
With the news of the variant Civs, there would no longer be much problem with Denmark coexisting with Norway or Sweden, or sharing unique units due to a common past (Berserker, Hind, etc).
Although well, now instead of 1 (Nord), I had to consider 3 concepts (Denmark, Sweden, Norway), and each one with different technologies and bonuses, and so that they don’t stay one below the other I have to read a little more so that they look pretty.

Actually, the Hungarians/Magyars will be a thing and the Order of the Dragon is a variant of the Holy Roman Empire. While the founder of the Order of the Dragon was Hungarian, he would eventually become an emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. The Magyars would be representing various medieval Hungarian empires.
Hungarians might make it in eventually, however Magyars almost certainly aren’t. as they largely predate the game era (AOE4 generally starts a bit later than AOE2)
Hungarians and Magyars do happen to be synonymous and the Hungarian civ in AoE4 time span would likely be between the late 9th century and the mid 16th century.
Fair, but they are more an ethnic group and AOE4 focuses on states. The Magyar tribes settled Hungary in what would be the dark age of AOE4
True that. So, they can be referred to as Hungarians in the game if they aren’t going to be called Magyars.
