I understand you may need one for two tc or naked fast castle, but it seems much more fluid when the pros play. It seems like most play feudal and age up after a few fights when it makes sense. When I’ve tried to use a fixed build it seems too rigid. I don’t see how you even could use a build order because you’ll be making different units depending on what your opponent is doing. I mostly play Macedonians, diamond I to III, but trying to get better.

I would say build orders give people the concept of what to do but shouldn’t be followed in that rigid format due to live person on the other end who will be doing different civs and strats to best you.

My build orders act as a basic structure in case of a optimal game. And than I can adapt away from that in every situation. Iam Diamond 2-Conq1
