considering that de was designed to bring the entire community together, i’m gonna guess it won’t.
there is a reason de was given neutral servers instead of hosting, which is a far better option.

DE isnt backward compatible with previous patches and you ask for backward compatible with HD, Voobly, Gameranger, … ? 
So i guess the answer would be never.

Same engine but different data files, different networking for DE since it doesn’t use peer to peer for multiplayer, sorry but your petition is beyond any possibility.
