When will pre-orders open for the new DLC?

I’m getting impatient and can’t wait. I’m so excited for the new DLC. Please open pre-orders so we can access more information and visuals.

You forget the experience of V&V and 3K DLC?

Haha so right… Personaly i was too dissapointed with these two DLCs i preordered, i hope this one will be in the right direction again… Do we have any information when the January preorders will open? Because i expect more information about the DLC when they open the preorders.

I suppose that when they put it in the store, they’ll also have to reveal the first spoilers for the new civilizations, usually in screenshots, or with a brief summary of each one’s bonuses, so I guess they’re still preparing them (The devs must be celebrating Christmas and New Year’s).

They said the DLC would be released… early, in February 2026:

Well, it’s already January 2026, the official teaser for Steam should be released in 1 or 2 weeks.

UPDATE: only a hour ago, the devs announced… the WOLOLO AoE2 Londinium cup is open:

I suppose, after the Wololo cup hype, maybe the announce more about the dlc. Aggain, maybe in some days, or 1 or 2 weeks.

I believe that no pre-order will be always good. Just buy after reading the comments at the first week release.

I second that. I never pre-order because if I’m being deceived, it’s harder to say no.

I pre-order because I know I’m going to want to play the civs (at the very least for playtesting purposes if nothing else). So I may as well get the preorder discount.

I pre order because I know I will always be curious to try the novelties, so it’s best to do it with a discount.

I never have to pay because I have several Steam gift cards. So the lack of a discount doesn’t bother me.

It’s about six weeks from opening preorders to release traditionally. So I would expect preorders to open mid-January.

Honestly, I’m hoping this time we’ll get a classic-style DLC.

Never pre order. That’s how the quality of games and dlc goes down. When you give them so much money early on they have less incentive to actually deliver a good product.

Nice I got some for christmas too

I love how the forum never or very rarely has an official post announcing new things. I always stumble upon new info like this through a random post

I guess you have to go to T90Official’s Twitch channel or something to watch qualifiers, which isn’t mentioned at the Redbull URL posted in that image. Unless it’s because it’s Jan 3rd now, no longer Jan 2nd? I don’t know… oh well!

I had small hopes that new information would be released by January 1, but it didn’t turn out that way. Anyway, with the actual release only about a month away, it’s not too far off. As a South American, I’m really excited for the last chieftains. With six American civilizations, the game will be even more engaging for me.

Most people are probably looking forward to the Mapuche, but in my case, it’s the Guaranis that sound more interesting (well, the Tupi, actually). I just wonder how they’ll be added to the game. I’m also eager to see new fauna, flora, terrain, and gaia objects. Overall, I hope to hear about the DLC soon, so I can support the company with a few dollars and show that I value single-player content being added. I also plan to post a review once I’ve tested the product, which I recommend to anyone who wants to share what they do or don’t enjoy. Personally, I love campaigns and fresh content for offline play.

I think pre order will be available in between 13 to 20 January.

I was expecting at least a few teasers for the new DLC over the holidays, but we didn’t get anything.

My guess is that we’ll see some new official information during the week of the 19th, unless something else leaks or filters out before then.

We’ll see how it goes.

If it releases in february then probably 2-3 weeks prior. I noticed the first wave of DLC of Age of Mythology seems to release at feb 10th. Usually the franchise doesn’t release DLC of two different games in the same week. So perhaps this would indicate either a launch in the first or otherwise the third week of february.
