The achievements are just fluff. Nice to have but don’t necessarily mean anything (to me anyway.). I just like the experience and the learning aspects campaigns offer, which I feel is much more valuable.
FYI, my achievement progress is related to the load-save bug, so I’ll wait and see if a patch resolves that first.
Also finished 2/4. I really enjoy the campaigns, but I want to work on same-civ masteries, before I move to a new campaign.
I am more of campaign player, allows you to play at your pace and add many imaginative situations. Some of the campaigns of the original AoE1 -the modded ones specially-, were the most intense I’ve played in a RTS game, and I’ve played many.
Multiplayer is fine, as usual, but it’s a totally different mindset.
Not typically a campaign player, but I’m taking my time through all the content. I’m about halfway done now.
They care , they play , but finishing campaigns is a tiring job , for casuals . So wait for two months and that will change
