- New resources (iron, gas)
- Magic and other creatures (dragons, wizards)
- Medieval steampunk (aircrafts, submarines, tanks)
- Game of Thrones / Lord of the Rings content
There’s a small youtube channel, HarvestBuildDestroy, that has advocated in the past that odd numbers of resources aren’t good for RTS. Tho he only ever discussed 1 and 3 resources. I’d be very curious about 5 resources.
Also just from a civ bonus standpoint there’s like 5 different civ bonuses you could hand out based on a new resource, which could help keep civs distinct w/o adding to power creep.
Troll post poll? I really cant tell
seems sincere. titled it a “crazy update”. seems like of these four hypotheticals, unlikelihood aside, which has more interest.
Where’s the option for the Antarctica civ?

We had a dragon in the FE free mod so why cant we have generic magical creatures in aoe2?
Dragons Giants Mermaids dire wolfs are pretty standard mythical creatures.
I’d like to add historical rare resource deposits and soil fertility stats. And i don’t count such update as “crazy“.
Does anyone have a picture of that dragon? The AoE Wiki only says that it was removed due to copyright issues.
Anyway, a dragon is also something I’d like to see in the Scenario Edtior.
Not too long ago, they added a huge aquatic monster, but it’s essentially eye candy only.
Now that the Dire Wolf really is a stronger wolf, no longer the odd unit with an attack of 0, it could be made a bit burlier to stand out, without turning it into a pure fantasy creature.
No one told me the new expansion had DRAGONS : r/aoe2 https://share.google/3asdoHhprfReRRo7h
New resource, no. Maybe a reskin for the actual one : silver deposit, more berry type ( Indian fig opuntia like the one in AoE4)
Star wars battleground DLC.
For a fantastical DLC with dragon why not, but as a separate game mod.
None of them
All can be brought by modding
Seems like @ArrangedHeart77 is not really a troll, but someone who starts topics but makes no effort to continue any discussion. Which, to be honest, I think is kind of more annoying than actual trolling.
