Which new civ in the upcoming DLC in August 2021 are you MOST excited for?

Nha not excited for more generic europe civs, seems like the devs keep targeting europe as their ONLY focus. (the last DLC was also european, as if Asia, africa, the americas and Oceania didn’t exist)

Will the devs also use resources on fixing all the real issues in the game? Things like the performance issues, crashes, issue with Alt+F4, smurfing, … I am much more excited to fixes for the real issues instead of adding new civs. The latest new civs are really gimmick cis and i dont like them at all. I havent seen any kind of tech tree / civ bonusses for the new upcoming civs, but i really hope they arent as gimmicks as the last 2 new civs with their first crusade and flamish revolution. These are terrible designed civs. I really hope that the new civs arent as bad designed as the last two.

They’d be less gimmicky if they’d use some of the lesser used aspect of the game like Battle Elephants, Steppe Lancers and Eagle Warriors. It’s that simple.

I do hope though that they will improve the performance in the Hotfix. There’s still some issues with villager pathing around lumbercamps though.

Compared to a DLC with 2 euro civis a DLC with 2 south african civis might underperform, more people in europe buy stuff

South african civilizations like zimbabwe zulu or congo would be same as a meso civi.

so theres no horses in southh africa?

I dont think during the middle ages they used any cavalry.the climate and terrain would not support it much.

They at least had Iron, while the Mesoamericans did not.

Also, Zulu are not Medieval, and should never be considered for a Medieval game. Zulu belong SOLELY to the 19th century.

But the meso civis built massive buildings without the technology the western world had,i doubt we can say the same about a civi like congo.
Fully agree on zulu they are just a people group many would identify more but totally out of this game.

ok but warfare maters more here rite?

Yes, yes you can.

Also, the Kongolese had Handcannons and Steel-tipped Longspears, so they would mess up any Mesoamerican army in a straight fight.

yup. hows this even up for debate.
strenght of meso tribes aint realestic in-game

To be honest, the Mesoamericans they did put in the game, were the ones taht teh Spanish glorified to make their conquests seem more legendary, than teh actually more advanced peoples.
The tarascans had Bronze, the Mississipians beat one Spanish expedition… but every time we get Aztecs and Mayans, because they are known about due to Sopanish Conquistador propaganda.

Still need a wonder building for game purpose.

Do we know of any building that could be used as a wonder?.btw did they use cavalry?

Yes, but barely. Horses were mostly used for communication, and carrying nobles in battle, rather than actual battle like you would expect Cavalry to do.
