Why 2025 is going to be a great year

Hi. Long time no see!

Not going to be active at all or nothing, im a changed person, and as some of you that may remember me, im a really veteran aoe4 player, but i want to say that 2025 is shaping up to be an amazing year for aoe4 with its two dlc’s! folks, enjoy em what can i say.

Very exited to see castille making a ft. in the templars civ and yeah amazing to see aoe4 being this great.

Thats it, im just going to use my time in the forums to report bugs and thats all, really amazing to see some of you that were here 2 years ago, still, here haha, stay sharp!

Less content than what?
4 civ a year is a massive amount of content for a RTS. Most RTS have like 3 civ and never add more.

aoe 4 went downhill with this new dlc which you can tell the new reaction in this forum and some from aoe 4 streamers

I just hope the devs move to a more regular schedule (like 1-2 civ per year max) and stick to it.

Otherwise people are just going to complain forever because they can’t handle change.

We’re most likely getting 4 civ this year which is massive considering how different they are from each other in age 4. I don’t want a game with 50 botched civ that feel like mod. Its good they take the time to make them well.

We could stop comparing Age 2 with Age 4. It’s a matter of personal preference and it doesn’t make sense for those who like one to attack the other and vice versa. In my opinion the ideal formula for the dlc would be 1 new civ + 1 variant every 6 months.

Where? I can’t see anyone “laughing” on Reddit, Steam, Discord or on this Forum excluding the usual suspects.

Age 2 civs are more similar to each other than any age 4 civ with its variant.

Age 2 civs are basically all variants of the same civ.
Graphics/audio are x10 easier to make.

We really need to stop comparing a modern game to old 2d game that has very simple graphics

Age 4 needs more frequent patches. A better update schedule will do wonders for the game!

I think better communication would work better. Obviously, no point just saying things and never delivering, but at the same time, waiting for updates would go better if we knew better what the devs were doing / how they were doing it.
