This is rather strange, I’ve only just noticed that I get three bans for RM 1v1, but I could ban 4 maps on EW. I don’t care about EW, but I wouldn’t mind a fourth ban for RM.

Does 1v1 ew have 9 maps instead of 7 (game not with me ATM).
Edit: Double checked, I was right.

Yup, Map pool for EW is bigger

it depends on the number of maps:
3 maps 1 ban
5 maps 2 bans
7 maps 3 bans
9 maps 4 bans
etc
this way even if you and your opponent ban disjoint sets of maps, there is still one map left unbanned
