Something I’ve noticed is that Retold’s version the Nemean lion speaks instead of the normal lion sounds in the original. Is there a lore-based reason for this perplexing change? I don’t remember reading any version of the story where the Nemean lion could talk.

WTF, I played as Aphrodite so rarely that I didn’t notice.
I always found it strange they do but Manticore, a creature with a human face doesn’t

i think they talk cause they wanted to make a “just very huge lion” more interesting but i think other myth units would have benefited from talking more. but its at least distorted which makes it cool in my opinion.
