This unit is too good for its value, it’s a legitimate skirmisher just with less range, it has the 2x multiplier against heavy infantry, it runs 5, and it gets 110 health, it may have low damage but obviously if we base it on quantity it surpasses quality it’s really very good, considering the scout bonus it really does a good job against other skirmishes, this unit isn’t bad for only costing food like the insurgents
Why not make it cost distributed in wood and food like a normal archer?
Like 85 food and 15 wood?
When they know perfectly well that the rival does not have cavalry shipments they can simply make the fast pass to age 2, enter with Aennas for most of the game and not let you easily harvest during the first minutes because you have a unit that is almost perfect at entering to bother due to its speed and it is also somewhat hard for only costing 100 food, if you put the scout nearby.
I am aware that the civilization does not have many strengths, it could go for others and balance others, In addition I do not think that the Aenna had a good review because they improved the attack animation several patches ago, as well as the azap that had its animation improved and ended up being a very good unit, they should give a more discreet eye to other units that make improvements in their animation
I think it was a deliberate design choice to give Hauds a cheap all food unit since all of their other Age 2 units cost wood. That’s just speculation on my part, though.
Well they nerfed tomos. Tomo big button. Early tp, forrest prowler, musket rider, chief, kanye, so im assuming that haude has 1 unit to beat ottoman infantry it will be nerfed
Fr aenna always solid unit that punished low micro opponents. Even xbow can out dps them in a shoot and scoot war. But the ability of aenna to park and zone is good. Drop 12 under a tc and enjoy perpetual idling as long as tomos cover anticav ubless its vs otto cause abus counter haude.
They still suck vs proper skirm in duels, late game muskets, and even with 4 upgrade cards and chief die like chumps vs art. Imho very balanced unit that trades stats for limited utility thats strong but dies vs “gud” players or is managed by good micro easier. Its still solid.
Because it’s one of the unique aspect of hauds, currently they are similar or even stronger compared to forest prowler. If they are changed to wood and food, then Tomahawk and Kanya needs to be changed to food and gold
