You should know that most people who report others often make hate speech. Because their goal is to prevent the people he hates from playing games. A friendly player would not report others. They barely ban map hackers, and when they do it’s usually temporary. Why would they ban someone who didn’t do anything?
Perhaps there were a few times when I quickly withdrew from qualifying. But I don’t have hate speech. Sometimes, we may say ‘you are noob.’ But this is not hate speech.
I think cheating in games is much more serious than hate speech.

The people who cheat all the time are stupid, but what are they functionally really hurting in the end?
If someone map hacks every game they will be at a higher rank than they “should” be, and as a result will play against better players who are roughly 50% likely to beat them even though they’re cheating.
It’s lame and cheating is wrong, but it doesn’t really matter all that much.

The chat you can easily ignore if you even have the tiniest amount of self-control.
Someone trashtalking you will be there for max 1 match and then disappear from your screen.
And you can even choose to not look at the chat.
Someone cheating in enemy team can very easily turn the game into a defeat for you and will forever influence your rank/elo.
In the worst case the match will be 1 hour long and you will fight your ass off for losing against a cheater.
There was a day where I played arround 10 matches 1v1 ranked and found 3 map-hackers.
I almost didn’t wanna play anymore the next days because it made me so furious…
Watching the replays and seeing how bad this player is, but being able to see ANY army movement of yours, picking up all the sheep constantly and even rightclicking at the deers and wolves (before rus change) in the freaking fog of war.
How is a trashtalker ANY worse than this???
You clearly don’t play ranked man…
It does matter a LOT.
A diamond player can easily beat conqueror players with map-hack.
And a low conqueror player can get into mid/high conqueror.
If you can’t see that, you don’t deserve to even play ranked.

The only thing that matters about ranking is creating balanced matches.
The point is a map hacker in conq will STILL be evenly matched against a conq player.
Yeah cheating is bad, and it’s stupid and people shouldn’t do it. They should be banned as much as possible.
But things like smurfing are far worse for matchmaking. If you can’t see that…
Sure hate speech may not hurt matchmaking, but we shouldn’t tolerate it and it’s FAR easier to police than cheating is.

Clearly, unsurprisingly, you don’t understand the point I’m making at all.
Undesirable behavior in the game should be policed, but it’s a function of how easy it is to do so and how detrimental the behavior is.
Map hackers and such should be banned as much as possible. It’s unfortunately very difficult to police though. It also does not hurt matchmaking in a way that really matters. Honestly the worst result of these cheaters is that people think it happens more often than it does and so more people read about it and think it’s rampant.
Smurfing is far worse for matchmaking than other forms of cheating, meanwhile hardly anyyone cares about that at all, despite it being easier to curb than map hacking.
Hate speech is extremely easy to police in comparison.
Do not accuse anyone again without evidence.
