Will AOE4 have the nomad map?

I used to be a AOE2 player and spent a lot of time playing nomad maps.
But now the AOE4 don’t have this style map and game mode. Will AOE4 develop nomad mode? I think Its a important matter to me.

u will lose if u have no landmarks

You can play without landmark victory as a win condition in custom lobbies.

I think that it will be one of the first game modes made available when the scenario editor is released in spring and will be available in custom lobbies, and maybe 6 months after I think it will be made an official map/game type

Mongols start as nomads, others are not nomadic civilisations. So, I think it will not be in AOE 4

hope so :sob:, I think the nomad is interesting and leisure.

Mongols would also need to start without TC on a nomad map, would still be a possibility.

Could someone detail what nomad mode is for someone not familiar?

In nomad map, everyone starts out with 3 separated villagers in different places on the map. Everyone is basically blind and needs to pick a spot to build a town center. You can look for the perfect spot or build quickly.

The fun thing is that your team might signal on the minimap where they’re building their base, you’re mostly unaware of where the enemy players are building theirs. Often two enemies will be building right next to each other without knowing at first, meaning they’ll engage in a Dark Age or Feudal Age battle for survival quickly. The rest of the team decides to either help out quickly, or boom, or whatever.

It’s nice to me because it’s exciting at first whether you’ve picked a bit of a safe spot and it can get really asymmetric resource wise or with players getting killed quickly.

Nomad shouldn’t be a map. It should be a game starting Condition, so that people can start with a few vils and no TC in any map…

I definitely plan to build asymmetric maps as soon as the editor is available. This mode could be fun to keep in mind as building maps. I value exploration much more than the average AoE player it seems. I don’t think buildings influence should determine where you place everything or send troops, and I definitely don’t think double TC next to each other should even be a thing. A new TC should be put down when you want to expand to a new part of the map but remain active in the first too. With that in mind, it would make great maps for nomad mode, and I’m down for it to be added to the game as a victory condition. Also I’m gonna say it here, I hate that people can disable wonder victory while keeping the sacred sites. I get wanting to fight only with landmarks, but wonder victory should be a counter for sacred sites if you can be ready before the opponent can secure all sacred sites.

When is the editor projected to be available?

I love nomad start Map…
I wish, have this kind of map in age 4.
