Wood cutting/mining sounds greatly reduced?

Hello,

my question is were the wood cutting/mining sounds reduced with the last patch?
To me it seems like they are barely there anymore (should be constant when zoomed in but just appear every few seconds). Is this how the performance was increased?

After some testing I noticed it’s only on lowest graphics settings, so that’s fine with me.
