Xianbei Raiders does not utilize bonus attack when using its special 5 arrow attack.

Obviously not an issue for normal gameplay, but this affects custom maps that want to use the unit with special stats.
A possible fix to this would be to apply the first arrow to do normal base damage, like the chu ku nu for example, and the bonus arrows each doing 1 damage each.

Hi @TertiaryFall24, for special charge attacks like the Xianbei Raider or the Fire Lancer, the damage on that attack is the damage of the projectile itself, not the unit’s.
You may modify the projectile damage to achieve your intended result. (1982 for Xianbei Raider charge projectile).

I’m trying to modify the attack of Fire Archer and Xianbei Raider to gain attack.
It appears from the recent AOE2DE update, both fire archers and Xianbei Raiders do not gain attack with the normal “Change object attack” trigger effect.
Additionally, I do not understand what “You may modify the projectile damage to achieve your intended result. (1982 for Xianbei Raider charge projectile).” means.
Are you referring to modify the attribute trigger?
If you could clarify, would be appreciated.

If you want to modify the attack of the Xianbei raider, you can use modify attribute on the Xianbei Raider to change its regular attack. To edit its charge attack, you need to use modify attribute on unit 1982 (Xianbei Charge Projectile) and modify its attack as well.

Right, but this won’t affect the unit retroactively though.
For example, in my custom scenario, obtaining kills increases the unit’s attack and health, achieved through simple “change object hp” and “change object attack” trigger effects.
Since the “change object attack” trigger effect no longer works for fire archer, Xianbei raider, and fire lancer, and modify attribute only being able to set the unit to 1 static attack, then there is no longer a way to consistently alter the units attack without creating a new one?
