You can animation cancel Knights, Scouts, Cavalry Torches, Elephants, and probably more to get approximately doubled DPS output

After the attack lands you issue a move order and then an attack order and it will start a new attack faster than the attack speed indicates should happen.

Very easy to test with scouts and torches since their attack is so slow.

I am assuming it is a bug since Spearmen and Infantry torches do not appear to have this mechanic.

Definitely a bug . Works on scout attacks on deer as well. For rapid clearing of deer herds

Scouts vs Deer is the only form of animation canceling that appears to have been fixed with the patch.
