You can see whether an opponent took animals or town centers in the fog of war

When you hover your mouse cursor over animals in the fog of war, dead animals don’t show their health bars. Because of this, even without scouting, you can check whether your opponent is gathering food from those animals or not.


And when you try to build a town center on a settlement, only unoccupied settlements show you an appearance of a town center. Already occupied settlements show you an appearance of a village center. Because of this, even without scouting, you can check whether your opponent built a town center on a settlement or not.

Repro Steps:

  1. Hover the mouse cursor over animals in the fog of war. Or try to build a town center on a settlement in the fog of war.
  2. Only living animals show their health bars. And only unoccupied settlements show an appearance of a town center.

Thanks for the info, but he hasn’t reported the settlement bug. Anyway, it’s amazing that they still haven’t fixed the animal bug even though it was already reported.

This bug didn’t get fixed in the latest Japanese launch patch. Is it hard to fix the bug that can cause massive problems during competitive matches?

Also having this bug happen during competitive games. It can cause a big impact on ranked matches and would be nice if this bug was fixed.

Thanks for agreeing with me. After the patch that added Demeter went live, I checked to see if the bug had been fixed, but it was still there. I’m really disappointed.

i think this has been accepted as a feature in most age games. not really much to do from what i understood

It is definitely an issue the devs didn’t intend to introduce. They wrote “Town Center placement can no longer be used to check under the fog of war if a Settlement is already occupied” in the update 18.56738 patch note, but the bug wasn’t fixed.
