:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

When you have unfinished palisade wall and some enemy units surround it (in front of the palisade wall) to destroy (common situation when enemy trying to kill your “quickwall”) - often you literally can not order villager to finish this palisade wall because with right click he is trying to kill enemy units. We want to finish palisade wall, not kill units.
And you don’t have special hotkey for this. Alt also will not help here.

I have an easy suggestion to resolve this issue! There is nice “Repair” hotkey. You can’t repair unfinished building, but what if you can you this hotkey for this issue.
When the building is finished - repair hotkey will repair building (like it works now).
When the building is not finished - the same repair hotkey will finish building (works like “Build” hotkey).
So we don’t need new hotkey and it’s really intuitive solution.

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Task a villager to build palisade wall and don’t finish it
  2. We need like 4 enemy scouts trying to hit this unfinished palisade wall in front of it
  3. Try to finish palisade wall using right click

You want your villager to finish palisade wall, not kill enemy scouts

looks liek a mis click/hitbox issue

I can’t agree more. Have been annoyed by this issue countless times.

Repair button should work for unfinished building (except ally’s). I have proposed this before too. Simple elegant solution.

Yeah, the pointer turning to “build” should simply override the hitboxes of enemy units when hovering foundations.

Well, check this: https://youtu.be/T3xQRTU981s?t=1213
You think it’s normal that I need to zoom in 4x times and than try to click on exact pixel?
I think we can resolve this issue much easier for all of us.
