Or, you know, you could ask the streamers themselves to zoom in a little closer?
Stop obsessing and trying to change the zoom level when it is totally fine.
I agree it is too much zoom out, put a limit on this… Not that much.
That zoom level looks good full-screen in a 24" monitor 
(even in a 15" screen it looks good imo)
I guess it depends on the screen size. Having the ability to change the zoom depending on what you are doing (micro/macro) can be a nice feature of modern RTS. It’s annoying to move the screen all the time in zoomed-in cameras xD.
I would even have a hotkey for different zoom levels. (For example, if you can see almost the entire map from a far zoom, you then re-zoom to a specific location where your mouse is pointing).
I think this zoom is a bit too far away as well. Hard to see anything on my 24" monitor.
Zooming all the way out is not the most efficient way to play, so I usually play half zoomed it.
But I don’t want the option to zoom out to be taken away from me because some streamers I don’t care about don’t know which zoom level looks best for their viewers.
I don’t think the game should force you to play a certain way just so this one guy can enjoy his streams better.
He won’t enjoy them if everyone quits the game over hostile developer decisions like forcing players to play fully zoomed in.
I don’t see a problem with that level of zoom out. A birds eye view can be nice sometimes.
The outcome of that poll I created is VERY clear.
The majority of people is happy with being able to zoom out as far as it is possible right now.
You know? I love this zoom level. It allows me to move my mouse and scroll around the screen lesser.
Anyway, it is a streamer/player problem, rather than a game problem.
