Age of Empires IV has a serious map hacking problem, which alone should be grounds for banning hundreds of accounts. But… take a good look at this profile I’m about to show you… this individual has several strange team matches where, on many occasions, the opposing teams are made up of only one type of civilization. Looking closer, I found one of the players who has a Twitch account and I was able to confirm… this new hacker works like this… with 3 seconds left before the game starts, he changes your civilization; the hacker chooses the civilization you will play :joy:

Sadly, it’s not new, someone was doing the same thing a year ago, remember seeing threads about this on reddit. And yeah, apparently it’s still possible these days.

And the saddest thing is, in order to get this scum banned, you need to spend ages on a report with literally “video-evidence” of hacking, only for the account to get a 1-week slap on the wrist. And if he does actually get banned, he’ll family share into another account.

Does Worlds Edge care at all about state of aoe4’s multiplayer? Apparently not. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still very much playable right now, but with this kind of exploiting possible, combined with insane amount of effort required to get support to do their job and ban a cheater, it’ll get worse and worse.

Check Corvinus’ stream, he got desynced when he almost won the same person.

The game really should get fixed fast, really fast. Hacks nowadays are already crazy, who knows if they will be able to make photon man in game in the future.

This has been in the game at least since season 3, I remember that I’ve had multiple problems with that.

I reported two Golden Horde bug users before, and yet they are banned for only a few days.

This is literally a joke. Plus, cheating doesn’t seem to get hacker’s account permanently banned. Totally bs.

Dude’s hacking team settings in 1v1 ranked lobby and puts both players in the same team, this bugs out the game and seems to somehow award him points (most of the time) and take them from opponent.

Idk how much noise needs to happen for devs to fix the lobby abuse for good. Both civ switches, and now this bs. Not just ban individual abusers (although even hoping for this might be a tad too optimistic), but fix it from ever occurring again. I can live with the occasional maphacker or two, but this is way more severe.
