4v4 MICHI DM Constant out of sync

When playing 4v4 MICHI DM with popcap of 400 and 25min treaty, I am consistently experiencing Out of sync issues which cause the game to be stopped and some players to be booted; this occurs usually at the 44min mark.

This is naturally frustrating as the game tends to experience this issue after significant effort has been investing during the base building portion of the game and once the actual fighting starts.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Enter unranked lobby with DM settings, 4v4 MICHI DM TURBO and 25min treaty (no noob lobby so no players below 150 matches).
  2. Once in the game, max out vils & 100 trade carts for all 8 players and construct fortifications and military production; once 5min remaining in treaty amass an army of at least 150 units for each player and commence fighting.
  3. Continue fighting back and forth and the game should go out of sync at about the 44min mark.

Game does not go out of sync and continues to conclusion (one side wins).

We (DM Michi Community which is probably close to 1k members, possibly more) are experiencing a high level of games crashing, ending in an Out of Sync.

Now for a majority of our games, we use Discord voice chat. We have made it clear that all mods are to be disabled and still, every game is ending with an Out of Sync.

The settings that we use are Death Match, starting in Post-Imperial Age . We play with Max population of 400 and Turbo is enabled.

Before the most recent update, maybe 5% of all games would end in a crash (game closing and leading to a bug report option) or the Out of Sync bug. After the most recent update, 100% of all DM Michi games seem to be ending with an Out of Sync that happens somewhere between 10-30 minutes in-game time.

I have been compiling all crashed games into a playlist. I have expressed my concerns in the official AoE Discord as have other players from our community.

Bumping this as I am also seeing this out of sync crash in Michi turbo DM games. Raised a support ticket with logs on this as well, Ticket ID:86756. Requesting this bug to be escalated and seeking resolution as soon as possible.

most of the mods getting crashes non stop, unplayable. previously would also go out of sync like 70% of the game now its crashing near 100% of the game.

Hi, good day

Same kindly request as my gaming partners and friends, please your support to get a fix or solution for this nightmare gaming experience

Everyday we try to play Michi games, and barely we can get 1 or 2 complete games from 10 tries

This is causing more and more absence and lonely lobbies.

It is not logical to have the 400 pop or more option and cannot use it

Also considering these type of games were played without any inconvenient before the horrible last patch update

No out of sync matches show up for me before that last one.

I was in the same game id’s that crashed as Vendetta. There’s only been a few games out of more than 20 since the update, that have completed. All the rest have gone out of sync. I’ve literally been playing this game for 25 years. I’ve never seen issues like this.

lmao thats a lot of games. same for mods here, crashes almost every game

honestly the MP lobbies limitation seems to be getting worse. 2-3 years ago we were able to play with full 8 players 300 pop with 25% game desync, then it gets worse and we had to reduce population or player count, now its like every game has problem when its multiplayer.

single player skirmish will never have these issue

We’re already investigating the out of syncs.

The de-sync and extreme lag issues persist even into today.

its the multiplayer lobby issue, seems to have some pretty hard resource limitation when versus single player skirmish.

not sure if this helps, 1 player always disconnect and then game proceeds to crash after, or OOS after

from my experience, usually next patch (so anywhere between 2-3 months time). unless they introduce another hotfix which is rare as we just had one
