There is no existing set in the game that is fitting for the Hindustanis, so I’m just trying to pick one that fits the best.

I think Central Asia fit better. You’re right about the colour. Just remove the blue colour with more bland colour and you’ll get Hundustanis architecture. Middle eastern doesn’t really match the design.
The indian architecture set suits the Hindustanis far better than the Middle eastern or central asian ones. It was a pain to look at the Indians before the change. Look at the roofs, columns, arches, or at the real cities of Gwalior, or Fatehpur Sikri, or Agras and Delhi’s red forts, or Qutub minaret. Maybe it’s less colorful, but it’s the best. There is no need to change for the sake of change.

Cmon devs, this change is so easy to implement. You know we are right. The Persians were given Caravansarai. Now give them the rest of their architecture.
While we’re on this topic can we also get a proper Viking architecture and a proper nomadic one for Huns and Mongols?

Thanks, but they’re probably less high effort than you think. I just took some pictures from the AoE wiki and wrote some nonsense under them, it took about 5 minutes.
