A Christmas miracle would be the swap.

yes.

Having the same set means they have basically the same building skins in all 4 ages. If you want them to still use the same skins in the Feudal Age, but start to be different in the Castle and Imperial, then technically you should still have to give them different sets.

I am currently thinking that after the introduction of Vlachs, we could have the Eastern European set with an Orthodox church for the Slavs and them, and add a new East-Central European set with a Catholic church for the Poles, Lithuanians, and possibly the Magyars.

Even without Vlachs, the Armenians and Georgians deserve a Caucasian set, or have a new Byzantine set together with the Byzantines and maybe Bulgarians.

While I wouldn’t mind giving the Vikings a set to themselves, having the Goths share it with them would be a reasonable decision. This set with mainly wooden buildings could fit the sense of Goth migration than a set with a lot of stone, and they also represent other Germanic barbarians such as the Anglo-Saxons.

Mongons, Huns, Cumans, and potential Khitans, Jurchens, Gokturks.
If people think 6 civs are too much for a set, then maybe it can be divided into Western Steppe (Huns, Cumans, Gokturks) and Eastern Steppe (Mongols, Khitans, Jurchens).

In that case, it is sufficient to keep the current Eastern European Architecture Set for Poles, Lithuanians, Magyars and Romanians civs. The only “Ruthenian” building models are those that appear in the Imperial Age in this Architecture Set - these would be incorporated into an entirely new Slavic Architecture Set (in their place, completely new models would be created, more suitable for Central-Eastern Europe). This new Architecture Set looked just as I described it. I named it “Slavic” so that it could appear in campaign scenarios such as Poles or Serbs civs.

Will probably be busy in the next few weeks. So 3 at once. Enjoy!

Another Christmas eve without architecture swap. Hoping I wake up to a Christmas miracle.

Well, if people want to experience playing Persians with the correct architecture set, I am currently working on a Sassanid Persian campaign that will do just that (along with other small changes for the civ).

Here’s a link to more info:

Let me know if you want more details of the Persian changes planned
