Either way, my statement still stands, RTS games usually don’t add gamechanging features like that post launch. In fact, not many games do

If they add DLCs like these in AoE3DE than the game will be even better. More diversity + in one DLC they will add to a civ a new feature and they will decide that it is good for every civ, like the mercenaries in AoE3DE or the Titans in AoM.
PS: I expect some DLC will be new civs, some others new civs with campaign.

I would prefer if they concentrate on just releasing stuff, rather than giving a roadmap. People wait for new stuff, rather than playing what’s already existing. Games are so short lived, apparently some people need a kind of hidden subscription system to keep being motivated (not point at you here).

A roadmap of the future content makes players excited for what’s to come and at least we have an idea of the things to come for the game, a sign of communication. This aligns with releasing stuff.

Launching the base game without the most iconic medieval civ: Japan and 0 civs from North America, South America, Africa or South-East Asia but 4 from the same European continent… it’s embarrassing.

L O L =))))) I don’t think a random kid, from Australia lets say, ever heard of something specific to French or HRE medieval army, but every human being from every corner of this planet heard of the mighty samurai.
There is nothing unique to French or HRE that were not in other place of western Europe or even the entire Europe. Nobody thinks of France when they think of medieval age, how can it be iconic?
In medieval times, there were Turks, Poles, Austo-Hungarians and the rest of nations in Europe 
Turks were close to beat all of European nations combined, alone 
Japanese were unique, not even their neighbors had anything in common with them.
Plus the status of the armies…at 1600 Japanese were nr1 in the world considering many factors, u can find out here:

Doubtful, not many people like history and even then, there is only a small group of medieval history lovers. When you think great medieval kingdoms, you think Charlemagne, Holy Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire, not Japanese Shogunate.
Sure, Samurai are super cool but they don’t make Japan the most iconic Medieval civ

About HRE only history lovers heard of and history lovers are a minority, so the answer is clear I guess
And I doubt that when u think of Medieval Europe, more people think of HRE then of Walachia and Vlad the Impaler of the Dragon order becoming the mythological Dracula avenging his people by killing Turks
Also HRE is highly overrated. In reality it was never a true kingdom but a confederation of many many ducates that never settled with each other and also always on war with each other. It was more like a lot of kings payed tribute to guys like Barbarossa HRE is more a myth then a reality.
So? Do they remember them? Probably not.

All the other schools from the whole planet, I doubt.
Not even here on Eastern Europe, the lessons about HRE are just on 1 single paragraph that says how of a myth and exaggerated it was. Imagine the schools on other continents.

Yeah in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Japan, Korea and Turkey.
I doubt any human on this planet that is not of German origin, can agree with you on that. 
Just my opinion though, don’t take it other wise, I’m a debate man.
1600 is not medieval 500 to 1500 is medieval.
I do agree tho Japanese makes a much better addition than turks and bombards.

When were you there? In all of those countries? And Japan doesn’t really count because of course they are gonna beef themselves up.

how could that even work lol.
lets say Player A has that DLC, and player B doesn’t, how would they matchup against eachother on multiplayer? Player A can go to the next age but the other can’t?
