So you claim he is wrong and biased towards HRE/Western Europe because he’s gotten his history from western european schools.
Meanwhile you’re all “Western Europe clearly barely even existed, the only places that mattered were Japan, Turkey and Eastern Europe, that’s my unbiased opinion that I’ve learned in the Turkish, Japanese and Eastern European schools I’ve went to”.

Seriously?

I mean, I’m not making a statement over which medieval “nations” are more important or anything, but you gotta be aware of the biases and influences that are always embedded in our own opinion about this kind of thing, which are clearly quite heavy here.

As long they make Campaigns, i’m good. I play mostly Single Player content and co-op.

If they use the AoE3 approach of just releasing Civs without campaigns, i’m out.

The online ranking have the dcl free, but you need to buy the dcl for the unranked play and campain.

Yes you are right on the money!..
Undeniable fact is, Turks destroyed pretty much all European Civs together, including English, French, HRE in major mega battles of the Middle Ages like Manzikert 1071, the Crusades, Nicopolis 1396, Varna 1444, Mohacs 1526, etc.
They were the real medieval superpower, the indispensable Civ, a core part of European History as a multi-continental Empire right in AoE4 peak timeframe.
But a minority here don’t care about basic History and AoE legacy at all.

I like campaigns but I only play them once and thats it I much prefer the sandbox of a skirmish game versus the computer so new maps, biomes, settings and civs have much higher value for me.
