This was when i was not very good so I was Getting destroyed and hiding in his base with a few villagers just getting enough resources to build a TC. Those were the days…

My favorite memory of AoE II :
In my childhood, I started my AoE II journey from the age of 5-6.
My dad bought a CD with the game and unofficial Russian voice acting and extras: The Conquerors and The Age of Kings
I watched Dad play, started playing myself, did Robin Hood campaigns.
And over time, I stopped playing it. And after so many years, I remembered it, saw it on Steam and to my great surprise, the game of my childhood became very popular, major tournaments are held on it and is still supported by the developers.
That’s how this game goes with me through life, I’m 20 and I keep playing with pleasure.
Thanks for these memories, to all the developers and people involved in the game.

My favorite memory was starting to play during the Covid pandemic, I was a little bit sad and anxious and the game helped me a lot to spend time and have a fun. Then I became a franchise fan and buyed other AoE titles #25YearsofAoEII

Mi mejor recuerdo fue que cuando cumplidos los 17 años, durante mi bachillerato en compañía de mi primera novia tuve el gusto de compartir mi hobbie con ella, una vez terminando nuestras obligaciones de estudiante acudíamos siempre una vez por semana al mismo cibercafé donde aprontábamos nuestras tareas con una escuadra de amigos a su vez! y ahí nos adueñábamos/robábamos las únicas 6 o 7 PC´s que tenían en renta, nos olvidábamos de nuestras vidas de 5-6horas en AoE 2 en partidas LAN.

Making my own mini campaign based on the novels The Paladin about the life of Walter Tirrel. I spent hours learning the scripts and triggers but it was great fun doing it

My favourite memory is playing back in 2000, couple of months after the release, with my parents as spectators, all laughing, chatting, and snacking. Those made amazing weekends! #25YearsofAoEII

My favorite age of empire II memory is beating the William Wallace campain in 1999 (i was only 5 at the time) , with my father reading me the objectives and teaching me how to play

I can say, Age 2 was my first game but today i talk about another first time with Age of Empires II. It was my first stream and I play a skirmish against AI. It was the AoE2 (2013) version. Some people come and watch and one of them, ErichMueller, write in the chat: Let’s have a 1v1. I say: yeah sure, please be kind, i’m not as good as the most gamers. He promised to play fair and kind. After 20 minutes at the match he destroyed my complete base. We loughed and after this Stream he began to stream himself. Through this match he become a good friend to mine and we had a lot of funny matches. In all these years i beat him in AoE2 in one match.

Age of Empires was the first game I ever played.
I was about 6, and I used all the cheat codes. I didn’t know a single English word, but I knew “how do you turn this on”.
Les superbes LAN étant enfant avec mon cousin, mon frère et ma soeur, où j’étais le plus petit et donc très très nul, maintenant je fait découvrir le jeu à mes petits cousins grâce aux serveurs multijoueur du Definitive Edition, merci pour cette version qui fait redécouvrir et kiffer de nouveau ce jeu magique #25YearsofAoEII

It’s hard to pick just one, but I think I have to go with finally learning how to annihilate the enemy in the tutorial missions. A lot of those original voice lines are still stuck in my head.

My favorite moments on the game are with friends, playing mongols or celtics, or every civ that has advantages for horse units, it’s glorious to build a giant horse army to conquer everything, untill your friends do the same to you, it’s fun. #25YearsofAoEII

I played a ranked 4v4 with my friends. I got castle rushed but my friends won the 3v4 in a heavy attrition battle! What a day to be alive it was.
