Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition IS FREE now!

Im positively surprised how well the f2p worked. Especially in the last two months i played a lot of matches with new players arround lvl 1-20

Do u guys have any idea when age of mythology will be released and subsequently when the aoe3 dlc might drop then?

(I just wanted to necro this thread, nothing against you @MatM1996 ;D im just always seeing your profile pic when i go to aoe3 discussion and i need some change)

They confirmed the DLC for the end of the year, definitely December. Poland and Denmark.

My guess is whenever the Explorer skin season ends the DLC will drop.

Well this month has the last skin, so I don“t think they release the DLC the same month as Mythology retold.

and I don’t think it would be out in October because of the Redbull wololo.

The last time we got a DLC around this time of the year was the Mexico DLC on December 1st, soo, i’ll just keep it around December.

The game is stable so far
But it needs more promotion
Now better being Free to play!

I’ll be absolutely shocked if the DLC is released before the last week of December

My guess is November.

Aug - Otto Explorer
Sep - Aztec explorer redo and AOMR
Oct - Russian explorer round 2 (we know the Hussar fan girl is in the game files) and RBW
Nov - Nothing scheduled right now, good amount of time before Christmas

No problem… you’ll still see me on the other forums xd…

Yes, for me it’s after RBW (October), if in November they release a DLC for AoE 4 then in December it will be the Baltic DLC for AoE 3 and TotD for Retold, both in December taking advantage of Christmas sales…

Microsoft: ā€œHide it and don’t give it any promotions, you say?ā€ā€¦

That would be very cool, but imo this requires Microsoft to be well organized … so… yeah^^’
I guess explorer skins will just go into rotation after that and give u a second chance to acquire them …until they make new ones

I had hoped, i wouldnt be correct

…and nothing, absolutely nothing, was done to maintain the momentum this gained for the game.

Zero support, zero communications, not even a tidbit of anything at all in almost an entire year.

Meanwhile the game is rife with basic glitches and glaring balance issues due to unnecessary over-nerfing (Inca, Malta) or over-buffing (Ottos).

Yeah, this is correct
At least a message of what is going on would be better

Free from development?

Free from bugs?

Just seeing this now and asking for a friend.

Don’t worry. We have our dear World’s Edge bootlickers who still believe ā€œeven though their attitude is lying for a whole year and abruptly cutting support without basic bugfixes, it means they can be more focused, more dedicated, more efficient, more careful towards our games!ā€

Wait and see. I think World’s Edge should sell them more cheap reskins with 2x price. They deserve it.

free from criticism?

or whatever

Is the game still free from the glaring bug fixes and balance updates? Asking for a friend.

That’s too expensive for them. They cannot afford it. They needed to sell things like V&V and 3K, and DLCs with two reskins and four scenarios the same price as the three times bigger one earlier, to pay for their breakfast and gas. Spending 1 hour of salary for one person to do the debugging would kill them.
