What a beautiful moment to be alive!
And what a bad time to work and study 24/7… I need vacations.

I don’t think my laptop can run it. It can just barely run AoE2: DE. I started installing it, but stopped halfway through because I don’t think my laptop can run it. I’ll have to see if an actual PC that’s at least 10 years old can run it.

You may try it on geforce now.

As long as you have the game in the library and nvidia supports it, you can run it remotely (on very high settings!) All AOEs are now supported.

You only have 1 hour without subscription though.

BTW I’m surprised they didn’t officially advertise this even once.

My pc is a 2013 and I can play the game and it’s not even a gamer pc. You should be fine.

What are your specs?

How do I check that?

How to check PC specs on Windows 11:

-Click on the Windows Start icon on the left side of the bottom menu.

-Click the Settings (gear) icon from either your pinned apps, or search ā€œsettingsā€ in the top search bar.

-Click System from the menu on the left side of the pop-up window.

-Scroll down through the options on the right and select About at the bottom.

-You’ll find a list of details there under Device Specifications.

Here are my specs:

|—|—|
|Processor|Intel(R) Coreā„¢ i5-1035G1 CPU @ 1.00GHz 1.19 GHz|
|Installed RAM|8.00 GB (7.70 GB usable)|
|Device ID|681EF798-1C68-4BAE-81B7-97AC0B2031EF|
|Product ID|00325-81738-51265-AAOEM|
|System type|64-bit operating system, x64-based processor|
|Pen and touch|No pen or touch input is available for this display|

Should be able to run it on low settings at least.

Yeah. The system requirements of 2 DE and 3 DE aren’t that much apart

I think I’ll leave it on the home PC for now. If I like it, I’ll install it on my laptop. I’m not gonna have much remaining space, so I’ll only do that if I’m confident I’ll play it.

Devs, I cannot fully express how happy I am to see this development. Beyond excited to see the spotlight on our beloved AOE3.
To those here, please please share this game with your near and dear ones, heck even with the office colleague you find annoying ( we can bash him/her later in-game ofc ). Be kind, be patient with the new ones, this game has a steep learning curve, but once they are able to safely navigate past that, they will find themselves absolutely obsessed with it.
This is a breath of fresh air to the game, and I am all for it! Can’t wait for the world to sit up, take notice and join us and partake in this absolute masterpiece of a game.

Let’s bring this home, boys!
Cheers.

This surely a nice change, sc2 manage to find more player after it becomes free

You will certainly be able to play it with these specs, albeit on the lowest graphics. My laptop has almost exactly the same specs, just with the i3 processor instead of the i5, but the integrated graphics processor is the same. The i3 is a weaker processor than the i5.
