All my buildings are black

I just downloaded the game. Starts up fine, but all my buildings are black. There’s a black square on the ground, and the buildings and walls are all there, outlined, but black, no detail. This is happening both in the story mode and in skirmish mode. Is this a known bug?

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Start any game
2. Go to any building or wall, or build a building or wall

EXPECTED RESULT

Buildings would not be black!

ACTUAL RESULT

Buildings are black!

How to re-create? If it’s common, it’ll be easy to recreate for everyone.

Might just be a video driver issue. (specific case)

Great, how do I fix that? Do I have to reinstall the whole game?

steam gives an option for integrity check, which fixes missing/corrupt files.
