while they worked fine in legacy, in de using Ai mods through the mod manager restricts who can join. if you bypass the mod manager and directly replace the Ai file it still works even in ranked.
there is no reason for Ai files not be multiplayer compatible through the mod manager. please allow anyone to join a lobby where the host has an Ai mod, and allow players with the mod to play ranked.

bumping, as while other mods are allowed to be used in ranked multiplayer and in lobbies without others having to download the mod there is still nothing said about allowing ai mods to do so as well.
that you can use ai mods in ranked if installed manually instead of through the mod manager means the mod manager is the inferior method.
