It is possible for him to be in 9th place, but I don’t see how he could reach to the 8th place
The problem for him is the set between Daut and Tatoh

nope, slam is out, viper is in and hera can at least get a decider match with villese.
The other ones are still somewhat open, but dogao needs lot of luck and capoch must be very unlucky to be out.
Daut can be eliminated even with a win, if vinchester wins and has luck with the other games - then they need to make a decider match for the 8th spot.
Edit: How I think the last round matchmaking should be:
The players with the lowest buchholz score should be matched with the highest ranked players. This way it gives them at least a chance to have a comeback:

Nicov loses to Barles
Dogao loses to Slam

Daut wins = 2-2 5p, but Capoch, Jordan, and Nicov all lose so no more points = 5 points
Tatoh loses = 2-2 4p, +1 for Hera win, but Dogao and Villese lose so no more points = 5 points
Slam wins = 2-2 3p, +1 for Vinchester win, +1 for Barles win, +1 Mbl win = 6 points

Fuck, I got the rules wrong. I thought the amount of map wins would also decide.
But still even if this happens slam would still need to have a decider with DauT to win as daut, slam and tatoh would have 7 pts each. But Tatoh would be eliminated because he lost against daut.
So it is indeed still possible for slam, but man every result must be right and he must win the decider against daut…
You forgot to add 2 for daut+tatoh each because they play each other and slam gets +1 for his win against dogao.

Yeah this buchholz system drives me crazy too, I just made a table that solves it for me ^^
This brings up an interesting ethical situation. Given that TaToh and DauT are playing the next to the last game, I believe the results of earlier matches may present a situation where TaToh should throw the games to DauT so they both qualify.

One of many examples
Key match is vinchester vs villese it looks like, as villese already played against tatoh and daut and villese had the same matches against jordan and nicov, villese can’t overtake daut. So villese could be blocked by the gl players, as if jordan intentionally loses to liereyy even the optimal results for villese can’t push him above tatoh.
I mean they are gl players so i don’t think they would do it intentionally, but the discussion IF this happens…
Edit: On the other side you must also state that the matchup between daut and tatoh is really bad for both of them. Both of them had above average opponents already, especially daut. And it is very likely that one of them will be out of the tournament because of an unnecessary matchup against an equally good performing player - most likely the loser of the match will be out in a match against a teammate. And for DauT it is already the second match (and hes the only to even have one) against a player with a higher winning record.
I think a swiss round can only be representative if all players face about the same level of opponents. Slam has to face vinchester, barles, mbl and dogao but jordan villese, daut, capoch and liereyy. Even if jordan wins all of this, it makes no sense. It isn’t representative for the group if some players have to face only from rank 10 upwards and others only from rank 7 downwards. It’s ok if in the first rounds the players with good and bad records are matched, but the later rounds the matchmaking should be made the different way around to compensate and make interesting comebacks possible. And make it equal conditions for every participant.

I see they just reordered the matches to move the Tatoh-Daut match up three spots to before the Villese-Vinchester match. Perhaps we should have kept our big mouths shut.

Agree, all the starting Ressource bonuses should be like 50%. For Ethiopians, Lithuanians, Persians, maybe even Chinese maybe with just 1 extra vill instead of 3.
