Any hints for "Porto" AOE2 DLC?

Like I have said before: It seem that there’s 2 versions of the gif, one with 39 civs (without two of the new civs) and one with 37 civs (with the 3 new civs).

It shows as extension blocked and I don’t want to bother wasting my time. No idea why it is blocked. @RobbieDPL where did you find it?

I tried posting the link but it didn’t work…

Go to the Age of Empires official FB page & you’ll find it there

Works on the facebook.
And old indians weren’t there?

37 civs version is on Facebook

The description of the gif on giphy says it has 41 frames.

The frames being these:

So, it would appear that we’ll get two new civs, plus a rework of Indians with a new icon.
I find it very reasonable, and I’ll be happy if it will be so.

This is good news. Now I will only confound ethiopians and malay icon!

I really hope Indians stays in the game the way they are
It’s a good addition to the game as a civ, balance-wise

If the elephant archer becomes a regional unit, indians need another UU. Besides that, they can remain the same.
I hope they buff shatagni

I understand you. I recognize Maly only because I know it’s the one that I never recognize.

So now Gurjaras are original Indians and replacing in the Prithviraj Campaign. That’s why there was no dedicated screenshot for them. Sounds reasonable.

Now what could be the third campaign in the DLC.

Persians representing Ghorids campaign?

While Persians in fact represent Ghurids, I suspect the Hindustanis will see a completely new campaign (Maybe something about Delhi Sultanate).
Some people argue Gurjaras could be a free civ for all while Bengalis and Dravidians are DLC content.
though would be strange that Hindustanis are going to be locked behind a paywall to be played in campaign.

I get how this makes sense from a historical perspective but it doesn’t really make sense from a monetary perspective.
I don’t know if they’re going to sell a brand new civ with totally new bonuses and new tech tree and then also have a campaign where you can play this new civ for free.
I’m not trying to be cynical but this is ultimately a product they’re selling here.

I just checked Steam and there are no announcements about the DLC. So if it is coming soon, they’re going to blindside everyone.

They can’t just remove a complete civ from the game. Rename or rebuold it yes, but not removing.
