DotD was announced during the AoE4 direct, so we knew quite a bit in advance that something was coming.

I really think that everything will be announced next week with the map rotation

Before the Dutch were united, there were city states. And during Roman time we were called Batavians and we provided Praetorian guards for the emperor of Rome…
Seeing a civ called The Bishopry of Utrecht or The Batavians would be awesome.
During the dark ages and medieval times we struggled to be independent and the HRE had a lot of influence. But mostly we had several Dukes, Barons and a large Bishopry fighting it out before there were any kings.
The Burgundians are a french civic. And the Teutons quite fit since the city of Utrecht also had a castle of the Teutonic Order. But we were Christianised before Denmark and HRE.

Elephants and Ships probably. Maybe something crazy like an Elephant Monk. There’s dozen of different ideas you could do with Thais. They’d probably have a farming related bonus. Maybe 2x2 farms or some special Rice farms I don’t know.

Well, they did AoE II DE birthday event 5 days after AoE II DE release day, so release of AoE II Venetian ball can be released also later.
Just a quick note guys, if we heavily speculate out of nowhere based on a single sentence, this could mean we’re definitely going to get a non Euro DLC next 11:

Well the wording of this sage post, “Expansion on cats” and the words in the last one are not by accident.
“Islam” was the only one that was not a civilization, maybe that’s something?
UP used to refer to “UserPatch”. Would be pretty awesome if they included all the features from that into DE.
If it’s a hint towards “Siamese Cats”, that would be pretty lovely.

For real? this was the announcement? Teasing so hard for this bs.
I’m hard disappointed not gonna lie. Literally nothing has happened in the last months except some “bugfixes” which implemented most of the time more bugs than before. With this many got some hope that at least sth. would happen very soon. Instead you read this trollpost and promise sth. in the “coming weeks”, which could be in months. Not to mention that “fascinating content” could mean anything. Do we hear storys about dogs in the next weeks?
At least they have their fun, while a good amount of community is pissed off.
