Any hints for "Porto" AOE2 DLC?

*Danes

Only give him new Danish voice’s.

Vandals dont fit AoE1 better than AoE2. Dark ages is AoE2

Vandals will go better with Byzantium than with Romans and we have more dark ages cuv than just Byzantium here too.

Of course…so we have the Indian Ocean represented…

Of course…in fact they are in aoe 3 in the historical battle of Cristóbal Da Gama

Of course…or at least Kanem, since the Bornu empire faced Usman Dan Fodio in the nineteenth century…the Somalis are fine with me…they can reconect the new African dlc with the African Royals dlc, just as they did with this dlc in aoe 3 by reconnecting it with the African kingdoms dlc through the treasures…

While I agree, Sumerians felt out of place with most of the other civs in AoE1 as well. If I recall correctly, they only appeared in one campaign scenario, and it was probably a mistake.

Thats fair. Still, the point to be made is that Vandals interacted with plenty of AoE2 civs and existed in the AoE2 timeline (400-1600) so putting them in an ancient history game built around hoplites and chariots would be ridiculous

They are either an AoE2 civ or nothing at all.

As fas as I know, taking in consideration conversations I have with aoe2 players, I’m not sure if the decision not to announce something during this period was correct. I feel that some people are losing interest to the expansion.

I think i know why the delay is happening… they were to announce it way before but an issue made them rethink… the ukraine-russia war… if that happens large part of the world will be busy with the war and there may occur economic issues as well… So I think they are waiting for the issue to be resolved before giving us an announcement as there could be delays and rescheduling

If they get added along with Indians civs in the same DLC it would be the perfect opportunity to scrap the “no knights but stronger camels” from Indians and give it to Somalis, for those who like the concept. We don’t know that much about the composition of the Somali armies, but judging for the geography and following the example of their neighbor Ethiopia, It doesn’t sound that wrong. What they do have is the biggest amount of camel heads in the world. They have a reason to be a camels civilization.

Goths huns celts franks all are from the dark ages.

I thought exactly the same thing. This is the most possible cause of this delay

Oh. I only play with the game font, not serif.

So we wont see the light of this dlc soon anyway
People will still play Aoe2 even if major occurrences out there

Of course, although being the Berbers I see it complicated…also in aoe 1 the Vandal territory is represented by the Carthaginians, so I would not see them in that game either…

Of course, although I still doubt that the war in the Donbass will affect the game anything…

Of course,in AoE 3 Somalis have these units:

Somali Darood Militia: Somali militia (gunpowder unit) of the Darood clan. Specialized at countering artillery and ships.

Somali Issa Warrior: Heavy ranged Somali javelineer. Attacks closer targets faster. Counters cavalry from range.

Not the game but i think it will lessen DLC sales as a conflict in that region will push whole eastern Europe and even whole Europe to economic crisis, In Bangladesh the government is already giving caution for fuel price rise and delay of infrastructure constructions involving russians … So people may not have the luxury to buy DLC/ games

Of course, at least for now I do not think they will take out a dlc, and delay it until the middle of the year or the end of the year, even if it were a dlc in the Caucasian or in Eastern Europe…

Please stay on topic about the upcoming Age of Empires II: DE DLC and do not discuss controversial subjects like politics and current world events.
