Any hints for "Porto" AOE2 DLC?

I was thinking the same.

steam.db says that porto have not been updated from 2 months ago. What a lie.

I guess it could fit but it would be close and depends on how long the cliff is

You know, I’m something of a scientist myself.
If you look at the history tab you can see, that most of the (recent) changes also altered the Porto (1869820) Depot.

it seems they drop just 4 pieces

i just see 14… numbers, maybe i don’t see well

i honestly don’t have a clue what branches, depots, packages etc. do or mean, but besides that everything is encrypted, you can see that most of the recent changelists contain modifications of the Porto Depot.

it should not be a concern, that the DLC “Porto” wasn’t changed since 2 months, the ‘basegame’ wasn’t changed in this same view since 2 years and still it got updated.

WHERE you find,give the website,please!

I must admit, I’m a little disappointed that the new expansion isn’t Caucasus-themed, adding the Armenians and Georgians, but I’m not surprised. If they had gone with them, people would complain about how all the DLC is Europe-related. They can still be added in the future, and I used to have quite a fascination with Southeast Asia, so I guess this is still a win.

If I had to boldly guess, I would say the new elephants would something like “Royal battle elephants”, an additional upgrade to the battle elephant line. I suppose they will also have to change the name of the Indian civ, although the Slavs are still a thing so who knows?

I suppose they will do the same thing as for Lithuanians when Dawn of the Dukes was released: a deep change to the civilisation to address all its issues. In this case, they probably need to dive deeper in terms of changes, as the Indians are awkward right now.

Totally agree! I was waiting for Caucasus-themed also. Armenians and Georgians could have such a nice unique architecture set!

I still think the Indians should gain either the Middle Eastern or Central Asian architecture, so they can represent the Muslim gunpowder empires like they originally did. Now that there are more Indian civs, there’s no reason they can’t do this, because many of their bonuses and tech tree quirks don’t make any sense if they represent all of India.

No more puzzle pictures, only four for this new dlc.

I actually had an idea for a new architecture set, and I was thinking of offering my services to Forgotten Empires, but I doubt they would use me, considering I have no experience in the field. I can draw buildings pretty well, though. My dad’s an architect, so I guess I get it from him.

It could be that the non-elite UU would now have different skin than the elite UU

Don’t worry. The new expansion for AoE II is always a win, no mather what region. Armenians and Georgians are for few years often mentioned, so it is quite possible they’re next. For now we will enjoy Southern Asian theme :slightly_smiling_face:.

Let’s hope we will get date of release, because if they say “new expansion is coming soon” it may take ages. Afterall we are waiting more than 5 months for road map that we were supposed to get soon.
