AOE II Dawn of the Dukes: Bohemians and Poles

Great news. Let’s wait for the civ bonuses before judging on the civs.
I am especially interested how the Hussite Wagon protects units close by. Adding pierce armor in a radius?

I think they just work like rams, maybe even better. Standard units can be shot over, rams can’t.

Seems like that. Jewish, Christian, Islam - all three elements are present in the civ.

Yep. Otherwise it will be another building that can generate infinite food.

Hussar already attack faster than LC. So I don’t think WH will fire even faster. I’m expecting +1 attack and maybe +5HP and/or +1MA.

I literally said that right after Poles is announced officially. 11

Either that or Rams and mangonel can protect units behind them only from defensive structure. I think Hussite can protect against all ranged units.

Honestly it could be a regional unit for western and central Europe in general

I am curious how devs handle Bohemians in campaigns - Barbarossa 1st and Gengis khans 5th mission. Both are well before Hussites. If they swith civs to Bohemians I wonder if as Barbarossa I would fight wagenburg…

Doubt that anything would change in Barbarossa 1. In Gengis Khan 5 yes they will probably replace the old military composition with a new one

I know, but adding units to already balanced civilizations is bad IMO. That’s why I kind of dislike Winged Hussar for Lithuanians - they were great civilization already.

Barbarossa 1st, Gengis Khans 5th and Honfoglalás civs will be updated for sure to have Bohemians. I mean, El Cid campaigns is set in 11th century and you can spam Conquistators at yours ememies 11. Many civilization are designed around chosen period and mentioned by me Spanish civilization is clearly based around renaissance Spain.

I think they’ll change them to be honest. If the civs is literally called Bohemia, it would be awkward if any other civ would represent them.

I mean gameplaywise, I doubt Barbarossa 1 being any diferent to play

Eh, I think some new content for the old civs could be interesting. Since most cavalry archers from western to central Europe suck it would also mean that it wouldnt be a particularly hard unit to balance most probably

You forgot the poles who are slavs in teuton and mongol campaigns.
Pretty sure it will just be a civi change nothing more.

Dissapointed, they’ve lost the chance to name the Bohemian’s UT “Bohemian Rhapsody”

So since Lithuanians lost Blast Furnance, Poles probably have fully upgraded Winged Hussars. It is huge nerf to Lithuanian cavalry making them below average if Lithuanian player did not capture at least 2 relics.

Nice that game got finally Polish language support. I’m probably going to stick with english, but there were many requests, so glad devs heard Polish community.

where you saw that? 20 characters

There is PUP since August 4th, but I can’t access it. But there is leak on AoE II wiki. They changed Sicilian Scutage to Hauberk that gave knight +1/2 armor. Sicilian start with extra 100 stone and their team bonus was changed to train instantly first Transport Ship.

Sorry for some problems, but I couldn’t find it. Go to AoE II wiki, find Poles and their UT: Lechitic Legacy and see comments.

Lechitic Legacy is UT that gives Polish Stable units Trample damage.

looks like they are pushing Lithuanians towards Leitis.
