The Malians have now “Gold Mine lasts 30% longer”.
I’m pretty sure Bohemians going to get Gold Mining and Poles Stone Mining for free.
New Hauberk for Sicilians is just Howdah for Knight line.
the obuch attack animation kinda questionable. … he attacks with the pointy edge of the weapon… so whats the purpose of blunt edge? it would be nice if they attack building with blunt edge
hmm, the page with update doesn’t exists for me…
It was just an error I imagine
For Malians that seems like a big nerf to a civ that has a fairly bad late game
Hauberk is a nice bonus but it really doesnt deal with the main problems of the civ
Yes, and that was my point. In the original AoE2 Bohemians were Teutons displaying knights and infantry. In DE in Barbarossa campaign Bohemians were switched into Slavs (probably because of variety) playing infantry and Boyars. Since it seems new Bohemians will have trash units, will they employ those trash units or will be allowed to produce gunpowder units?
And I continue, I did not forget. If I put Poles I can disallow to create Hussars (because they are too modern) and still Poles will be able to create Obuchs and general feeling would be “OK, it fits the period”.
While in case of Bohemians they are lost without gunpowder, or at least what I know so far. In time of Barbarossa there were only knights and infantry (archery was in minority). That makes sense. Now will I face houfnice?
Of course its just a game, but I prefer immersion…
I am not going to argue. I am just curious how that will work.
Its easy to negate any of those out of period units. When I created my Byzantine campaign set in the 600s AD, I ensured that no civ had access to gunpowder units and no trebs. They could easily do this for the offical campaigns as well.
i mean by that logic you should also completely disable castle age and beyond too.
The Bohemians in the Genghis scenario have a full army from the beginning and don’t train units, so they can just leave them with those same units, even if the Bohemian wouldn’t be able to train them in theory.
That’s pretty much how a lot of civs are designed in the game. They revolve around a certain era or mainstream appeal, like the spanish and portugese are mainly based on the 1500s, the turks are basically the ottomans, india is based on delhi, the magyars are based on Arpad’s horde, etc.
Yes, but Bohemians stripped of gunpowder and wagons seem to be weak. They will create pikemen (not halberdiers), crossbowmen (not arbalests), cavaliers (not paladins)… pretty average or even below average units. And without wagons they are lost.
I will see…
no,its regional unit for poles and lithuanian
it will replace normal hussar with winged hussar who will have stronger stat than normal hussar
We still dont know their bonuses tho (either way, yes, its probably just Hussites)
I think we have a clearer idea of what Poles can do
But remember ,we are talking about campaigns here, not a MP match.(people are way to fucused on that when it comes to ballance and civ traits) Campaigns by defult places you in difficult, uneven sircumstances ,forcing you as a commander to adapt and overcome the emeny by means of innovation and superior tactics.
If it’s the ememy that gets nerfed , then they just supply them with more resources, troops and better fortifications, still giving you a challange having to use an elite few to overcome scores of average soldiers combined with extensive fortificartions.
Very true any civi can represent anyone as long as its not the player.
Poland was originally goths and trained huskarls to attack then its slavs with boyars now it will be polish uu"s,effect on the game is very limited regardless of what comes to attack you as its the AI.
How come Lithuanians get Paladin and Poles don’t ?
Why we can’t access that PUP? It’s weird, why it’s even called PUP if it isn’t public?
Just wait, Polish cav will be OP.
Zizka defended Radzyń from the Teutonic Order, so his Mission 2 might be that part of the Battle of Grunwald?
Yes I don’t mind if Poland doesn’t get Paladin, that will cause their focus to be more on the Hussaria, I just want Lithuania to lose Paladin as well, and have them more rely on their Litis and Infantry, their cav line will still be strong due to their relic bonus but having them lose Paladin will ensure that they are no longer seen as ‘‘OP’’.
So you want to change the whole identity of another civ just because poles are now in the game???
Can we please stop this nonsense? There is one rant after another now. Why you just can’t be happy with poles finally being in the game?
I’m officially annoyed now by this kind of demands.
