Aoe3 is in a vicious cycle

There is a difference between those that claim the game is dead which is dumb when factoring in the increased playerbase due to the F2P model and those expressing frustration over the lack of proper communication.

I mean, would it have killed them to state in a WotH that our devs will be focusing on AoMRE this year? This is basic stuff. 2DE gets multiple paragraphs with reassurances galore about continued support. IV gets announcements of announcements (something I do not envy btw)

The F2P model is good but it’s a real head-scratcher why WE is not taking full advantage of it with more engagement with the community.

My out-of-good-will speculation is either they have no experience running a F2P mode, or they were first testing waters with no idea how it would go not to mention future plans.

But the only thing I know is they once again missed a big opportunity.

Like RoR is probably the most negatively received release ever since the DEs. They immediately started salvaging it.
The free trial on the other hand does spectacular and they decide to do nothing about it and watch the player number drop again?

To be fair, people had a meltdown when the spring update came early and went wild over a picture of berries so they might be hesitant with teasers. But that’s mostly because there is so little communication in the first place so people assume everything is significant. Saying there will be a hotfix at some indeterminate date in the future is really the least they could do.

Not every game has to be changed constantly. If the game is fine it doesn’t need to be changed. It will deter new players and make old players tirn away.

Not even bugfixes?

The game has received no change for two months. Do you see the player number grow?

even when we had patches, were the numbers also growing?

it would be a fallacy to think that changes are the reason for player numbers

bugfixes are good but they are not sufficient conditions for player growth

totally agree, even a trash anime mobile game company understand the model better than what we have now

dam, i wish i could buy aoe3 and put it in good hands

I think its due to development of AOM Retold
But I mostly agree with you on this,

We need more information about it!

You mean gameplay!
But yeah AOE gameplay 3 is different but as fun as the others
The strategy ############ are so endless due to its homecity and shipments system!

It’s in good hands, the point is to make it so that more people like it…

If we can’t reach 20w player,we may won’t have next dlc at all.
Sad.

Well, we have to promote the game ourselves…

At least we want another update,If we don’t even have this, it’s really unbearable

yes, its not done because its not on good hands

What’s going to happen is that we’ll probably get a big 'old update again later (or even DLC) and it’ll be just as impressive as the last, and probably just as delayed.

Everyone will love it.

Then a month down the line, everyone will be moaning for the next update.

That’s the ‘vicious cycle’.

Just enjoy what we have, make constructive posts for future updates or patches and stop doom-mongering. Devs aren’t going to feel particularly motivated when there’s lots of negatively sensationalistic post titles (and particularly spammy, when they could be kept in one thread) after such a significant update

i hate that they give dlcs without fixing bugs, every note has like they fixed 1 bug of 10, they improve iu zero, for example groups of control banner could be better, hand cavalry has the same banner that light cavalry, its difficult to see what group of control a group of units is bound to

It’s in good hands, it’s just that they are hands that can’t cover as much (AoM Retold and AoE 4 included)

Sure, let’s relax and enjoy the game in the meantime…in October maybe they’ll announce something to release in December…

then its not on good hands, its ill-advised, imagine a doctor is taking care of other people instead of you, would you be on good hands? would you prefer another doctor?

Yes, but the saga belongs to MS, we can’t do anything about it…FE, Relic and World Edge have to take care of the saga and all the games and if they can’t cope they have to hire more people…not others there is…
