Armenian and Georgian Civ

Modtly comes down to not heavy cav, the architecture being off and the gunpowder and camel focuses being distinctively Mughal-inspired imo

The Persian Safavids/Qajars should go into AOE3DE.

I think a Crusades-themed expansion with the Armenians and Georgians, and some new UUs for these civilisations and the Turks (Sipahis/Akinjis) and Saracens (Zanj soldiers or something else?) and Templars and Hospitallers and proper skins for the Pope and other Islamic/Orthodox/Catholic clerics.

Georgians and Armenians aren’t eastern Europeans. Georgians don’t even speak an Indo-European language… They have completely different architectures, languages, culture compares to the Balkans and other parts of Europe. Just making them a heavy cavalry civ would be pretty bland. Georgians if anything should be a heavy infantry civ like Goths or Teutons. Armenians could opt for an alternative cavalry to Paladin that could act similar to a cataphract, and an infantry unit that can scale walls for example. There is many more possibilities that you simply aren’t seeing.

That sounds pretty cool.

Agreed. Those calling them European are simply wrong, they are Caucasians, from the Caucasus Mountains and the Armenian Highlands. Neither has any relation to Europe, Middle-East, or Asia. They are a unique region with their own architecture, languages and alphabets.

They’re as European you can get for a Non-European civ considering the Caucasus functions as barrier region between Eastern Europe and Western Asia.

I’m really not a fan of this civ suggestion, not as long as some of the bigger issues in regards to civ distribution are resolved.

I’m honestly okay with Georgians and Armenians.

That’s as close to Europe as they should get for a whole though

I do agree with you under the condition that they come with a new arch set. I really wouldn’t be able to stand even more civs using the same bunch of architecture sets…

I still think they’d be kinda like a civ addition on the previous DLC levels. Not much more than fan service than really capturing the spirit of the great HD expansions which went around the world telling compelling stories for civs basically everybody wanted.

I still didn’t warm up for the recent civ additions which I find rather pointless.

Honestly just give us Georgia. Armenia is interesting but imo its not final 9 civs material

If Incas can have the aztec buildings its perfectly fine for georgia to have italy/byzantine buildings.

At that point you may as well use the central european architecture for the monastery

We have incas with aztec buildings Ethiopia with Mali buildings all of eastern europe with the same buildings so is it that much of an issue to have italian buildings for georgians?it will also balance up the building sets for italian and e europe.

Its not that much of an issue, its just really dumb to be so lazy and Central European would at least be a little bit more accurate

Only the monastery would fit.

Yeah and thats better than having Georgians use the Mediterranean university lol

This is what a Georgian church looks like.
