Guys, I understand the nostalf*. But the game needs some required changes. A queue farm is a needed change. Is not AOE II is a should be like this.
Obviously talking about balance too.
Yeah let’s poke that wasp nest with a stick again because we just hadn’t enough last time, right?
It seems like the farms may even be re-seedable like AOE2 (no one was able to test one yet). If so, it’s not a big deal to replant them. Even if they are not re-seedable, the walkability means you can simply shift click place them without having to worry about the ■■■■ farmer being in the way.
For me, I think of it as having to re-task villagers whenever any resource runs out. Eg. the gold miners don’t go and rebuild a storage pit somewhere else when the gold runs out ;p

Yeah, I agree with this - the fact that you had to move a villie far away and then re-build the farm was super annoying. Plus having to order the farms in such a way that they wouldn’t get clogged up was also such a damn pain. I’m perfectly 100% happy with the system we seem to have gotten.

I disagree with this, I think it should stick to the original. If you want auto-farm, please play AOE2. Age of Empires Definitive Edition is a remaster of AOE 1 that doesn’t have auto-farm.
