Japan does not need any daimyo for its standar mechanics, their units are strong enough to hold the line with villagers behind to build barracks and stuff. As any other civ !!!
Daimyo is a secundary unit and has no mayor effect on Japan gameplay, apart from being lame.
He did not know how to propose it well. The daimyo needs limitations, but removing itself is drastic.

Better option is try to learn game , mak some goons and shoot daimyo ??? They canât move while training units , and if they arenât training units , u should have no issue .
Anyways many player now donât use them to train units , they use them as explorers for aura . They train way slower now .

Easier said than done, in late game it has more than 1500HP with HC Cards+Golden Pavilion+ Dutch Arsenal. That thing is fast as an Uber, when players see you coming will insta stop training and run. Iâts so hard to catch it.

Only seem to apply to Native american and others, but not the Asian civs, they all need a revisit, by the devs.
Well I assume this particular issue is talking about treaty? As we discussed elsewhere, treaty is really hard to balance without compromising supremacy and splitting the game up that way I donât think is ideal but then thatâs honestly not my problem and if thatâs what treaty players want, so be it.
Japan in supremacy, I really get annoyed about it. It sucks the fun out of the game with a massive straw.
Itâs not âOPâ in 1vs1. In team games its totally OP IMO. In 1vs1 though its very weak against timing pushes but my problem is they outscale every civ and win late except maybe Portugal and thatâs a big maybe because of Cass range resist and 4.5 speed rather then 4 meaning they donât get pounded the same way normal skirms do by Ashi but with enough Daimyo stacking and unit buffs I think even Cass lose to Yumi but i havenât tested this.
Even if true, Portugalâs mid game is a lot weaker and theyâll get overrun there and every other civ is on the clock to win the game in addition to Japan having a much easier economy to manage and keep safe. Destroying house factories is tedious as hell too. So the only way to beat Japan is to hit them with an age 2 or age 3 timing push. Too bad if you want to play the game another way. So even if its not âOPâ in a traditional sense, it still should be changed.
I would love to scrap the whole civ and burn it to the ground and rebuild into something different not built by bias idiots who believe Japan has to have the best soldiers cus they are SUPER WARRIOR CULTURE! Even their Muskets are super good when they had to be introduced to them by the Europeans and certainly not the ones with the bayonet. No bonus vs. cavalry for you chucklehead. The spear was a very prominent weapon in Japan and aside Ashi in melee, no unit wields it.

u can even kill a unit of 1500 hp with 2 shots of 3 horse art , or 5-6 goons

Dev have done great job at fixing daimyo already . Daimyo train much slower now , even with 10 units batch , u can easily overpower them with ur military if Japanese player is making units just from daimyo

Lol, maybe that fantasy works in a perfect scenario where Daimyo is alone. Imperial horse artillery is plain 6 speed 218 attack also it needs to get in Bombard Mode (how the F are you going to take down a Daimyo whit this? And Iâm the one that needs to learn playing )
Goons are 7.25 speed. Any Daimyo full stacked is 7.5 speed !!! Meaning they can overrun everything!
Full Shogun Tokugawa is 3375HP, absorbs 30% of ranged attacks, and has 7.5 speed. Anything more OP than that does not exist.

Becoz killing daimyo is easy , if someone just using daimyo is not a problem .
And who use samurai ?? People using samurai are not good players (except hatamoto tho , but u ca t train them on daimyo)

They do not use full samurai, but a batch of 10 is a pain in the azz sieging walls because they got one of the highest siege damage.

There are other ways to play the same civ, I have seen pro players losing cause they wait for the same strategy each time. Like he is saying a batch of some samurais can take down buildings in seconds. If you need a quickly attack but the shogun isnt there, sams are the best option.
Stop saying how people has to play.
Daymios and the Shogun should be nerfed down to 1000 HP. That should be their HP after you stack all the cards they have.
That will make them easy to snipe with the Dragoons !

I prefer to nerf hatamotos spamming, I laugh each time when I see the update patch that said that good faith agreements no longer affects consulate units train time while adds train time bonus to migrants, becoming hatamotos training faster
