Canceling a chat message disables all input, both mouse and keyboar, shortcuts and even mouse macros. The only thing that still accepts input is pressing Alt-F4 and clicking Yes or No.

:point_down: How often does the issue occur? CHOSE ONE; DELETE THE REST!

Just happened right now, not in a mood to test how often this happens.

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Hit enter and write a message
  2. Hit Esc to cancel the message
  3. Despair as you can no longer do anything but to Alt-F4

:point_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?

I don’t think this gets recorded, other than my camera not moving and no inputs working

Hi @IkoKnight8151 I don’t seem to be able to reproduce this issue on singleplayer, I’m trying to get someone online to help me try and reproduce it, in the mean time, this is my recording of that match MP Replay v101.101.61321.0 @2022.04.28 214221 (1).aoe2record - Google Drive I’m player 8, biodude. There is a pause by blue, in the moment we all send messages and I change my message setting to all. After I say purple, I was about to send another message for purple, but remembered that I didn’t change my settings back, so I press Esc before sending the message. This lead me to not being able to do anything else during that match. The recording ends as I Alt-F4 out of the game.

Edit: just saw someone linked this issue, and was able to reproduce what happened on that match in singleplayer using their method 4/27 Update - Hangs after chatting

I have the same issue! And I seem to have it on single player too. I have never encountered this issue before the India DLC. On single player, I receive the Game Paused message. On multiplayer, I do not see any message. In either case, the only thing that works afterwards is Alt-F4.

I should mention here that my shortcut for chats is the spacebar button.
