Cannot Change/Set Hotkeys on Xbox

Issue:
I am playing with Mouse and Keyboard on xbox series x. I cannot change any hotkey. It does not give me the option to edit the existing hotkey and has deleted my previously set preferences and changed them back to the default. (i.e. I had "Go to Town Center set to “spacebar”. It is now “H”.) I cannot clear the current hotkey either. None of the 3 buttons on the right side are working. I am using Definitive Hotkeys as the default. I have tried other defaults but nothing allows me to edit them. I have also tried to make new profiles without success.

Reproduction Steps:
Here’s how to reproduce the problem:

  1. Go to Options and open hotkeys
  2. Try to change hotkeys by clicking on the action or the pen.

:arrow_forward: FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

:arrow_forward: EXPECTED RESULT

Change the hotkey.

Just found this issue being reported here: AoE 2 DE

Seems like the devs are aware but have not given any update on when this will be fixed.

I’ll let you know if I get any updates. Unfortunately the latest patch didn’t have a fix.

Any update on this? I believe I have found a work-around by tricking the game into thinking I am on a controller and then on a mouse and keyboard, but it is very frustrating to have to do this each time.

UPDATE
As of the patch on October 14, hotkeys are now able to be changed via keyboard/mouse on Xbox. Has been tested and can confirm. Thanks devs!
