No, they broke it, as usual. I guess dev team will just announce they dropped win7 support instead of continuing to support it :frowning:

I dont understand why they would intentionally drop support win 7 to aoe since it was natively supported day 1 release almost 3 years ago. This really sucks. The game DOESNT NEED WIN10 to work in ANY ASPECT NOR graphic engine etc

@EleventhPenny19 , Felizon is more like bot, just responding to most of the bugs it’s tracking the issue, very rarely anything else. I know games, much cheaper and less hyped then DE, which had extensively better bug support than this.

For the win 7 problem, I see someone saying that it can be solved by replacing the aoe_de.exe with the previous patch one.

Well that’s unfortunate, I guess time to uninstall the game… I guess I’ll re-install it if you guys fix it

I mean, pretty sad I can’t access something I paid for unless I pay for some other thing I don’t really want, but I guess nobody promised the game would work in Windows 7 when I bought it

That will be a great shame for devs… @Felizon89 since you are here, I would put it to you - do you hear what @Julix3748 said? And when you say there will be no fix for this issue, and we report a lot of other problems and we don’t have any response, even just “we sorry for this mess, we will do our best to provide you for what you’ve paid”, it put you as a developers team in a very bad light… so don’t expect too much from people who you have let down…

Hi there!

  1. The exe doesnt work for online… it will trow mismatch version error when trying to play a game…
  2. The exe is bigger than the latest version which is strange… Can anybody confirm the exe is safe?

Hey,
.exe works also for multiplayer:

  • just not arabia map for some reason
  • sometimes it takes 20min to find a match

It didnt work for me… I tryed it with my friends… I couldnt join their games, and neither they…

I am also worried about the size of the exe…
