All of a sudden, I have lost the ability to save a game or restore a previously saved game in Age of Empires II Definitive Edition.

The file list of saved games does not populate, despite waiting for almost an hour.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Launch game
  2. Click on Saved Games button
  3. List of saved games never populates.

its already tracked as a known issue.

Try to delete some saved games/replays at “C:\Users\{username}\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\{userId}\savegame”. Maybe it makes it easier for game to load the list
