Can't find mod in Skirmish Return of Rome

Hello everyone

First time posting, and I’d apologize if this issue has been addressed elsewhere.

I’ve got the Rome DLC for AOE II and made a few tweaks to the Pompei dat empires2_x2_p1 file. I went through the whole process of adding and importing the mod (the usual stuff), and when I go to Rome Campaign and find my mod, I can see it in the drop-down along with my other mods. But in Skirmish mode, the data mod drop-down only shows “default” and nothing else. I checked back in AOE II Skirmish and all my mods are there. Any idea why I can’t select any mods in Rome Skirmish mode?
