I’d be really unhappy if that’s the last DLC we’re going to get and the total amount of subsaharan African civs is 2 and that we’d have a grand total of 3 for the Americas.
- American DLC - Chimu, Muisca and Tarascans civs
- African DLC - 2-3 DLC’s
There’s more potential in America but I generally agree.
My pattern prediction: East Asia, Africa and America
I hope for America , Africa , Asia Dlc’s in the next years and free content to release with mentioned Dlc’s - Slavs to Rus rework with campaign about Yaroslav the Wise , new faction - Swiss with campaign , Japanese rework with campaign.
Next one is east asia with campaigns for chinese japanese and koreans.Juchens is the best candidate for filling the gap between china korea and mongols.
I feel like an African DLC is long overdue, and I’m also slightly worried that we might not see many DLCs in the future anyway. I don’t know how sustainable the current content model is, as we’re slowly approaching a point where the amount of civs might just start getting overwhelming for the devs to balance.
No, we all need another European civs
Italian split: Bari, Milan, Bologna and any city state in which Barbarossa pooped
In South America, I would prefer that the devs focus on the pre-Columbian empires. Some interesting concepts have already been discussed in this forum.
In Mesoamerica, the Purepecha Empire (Tarascans) could be an interesting addition. I have recently learned that it was considered a more powerful empire than the “Aztecs”.
As a personal note, I’m grateful to the developers and users who are showing more interest in historical accuracy
I think if the next DLC is about East or South East Asia (or any other part of Asia actually), the Eurofatigue will turn into Eurasiafatigue. The only exception would be an Austronesian focused dlc with Malay split and Oceanian civs, but I don’t see it happening right now. Obviously it doesn’t mean the devs will take what I just said into account, but I think ideally the next dlc should be either about Africa or the Americas and then the following one can focus on anything but Europe. After we get at least one African, one American and a East or Southeast Asian dlc, then we should probably get something for the Balkans.
All with same Mediterranean architecture so that we get 11 civs with same architecture. 11

Well, we definitely aren’t getting a Balkan DLC any time soon.

a Balkan DLC
After we have 11 civs on Mediterranean set, there will be 5 Balkan civs all with Eastern European architecture making it to 11 civs as well.

Actually, the Mediterranean set would be more fitting for all civs except the Vlachs, who would represent Romania.
Nope. Tibetans next.

Nope. Tibetans next.
Tibetans would be nice ngl but I don’t think they will happen with China as a market Microsoft wants to target.

I hope so.
I would love to see some more civs from today’s Mexico surrounding the Aztecs.
And atleast one more civ from South America.
Preferably it would be interesting to also have atleast one north american civ.
And ofcourse more African civs. There is so much potential in the Sahel, Congo, east and southern africa.
But as a dutchie/german from a city of the teutonic order i would love to see a germanic split.
Nah we will just get two more eastern European architecture civs
