Could you give us more American and African content?

Like civs, campaigns, architecture sets? Now that you’ve definitely completed Europe, it’s time to give some attention to those parts of the world please:

Would be great, and would be my preference… but there’s the argument for South Asian civs as well…

Euro civs are the most popular/ were asked for though…

Pretty sure there are more left…

2 campaigns from all of America
5 campaigns from all of Africa (3 of which mostly take place outside)
7 from all of Asia
… But …
17 from Europe

Perfectly Balanced ryt ?

Well, I’m the first one to wish outside of europe civ, and especially a new american civ (for example the Chimus, as well explained there New civ concept: The Chimu)

3 civilizations from america 2 have full campaigns one historical battle.not enough historical material to make a full campaign for mayans.
4 african civis 4 full campaigns.5th one is battle of forgotten, nothing to do with africa.
4 east asian civis one full campaign.Japanese chinese koreans no full campaign.
4 south east asian civis everybody has a campaign.
Slavs turks vikings magyars celts no full campaigns.Persians also just one historical battle.

Look which part of the world is fully balanced.

They should remove Historical Battles and Art of War from the map to give way to other campaigns.

If they’ll pull another Forgotten DLC with 5 civs then I’d love seeing American/African civs together with Caucasus, getting tired of the region-focused 2 civs DLCs.

I would love to see an African + North American DLC. Maybe themed around chiefs.

It seems there are some good opportunities for unique bonuses to Archers, (attack or movement speed) or Skirmishers (fire rate), Eagles (cost reduction or speed), Elephants (fire rate), and Camels (melee armor or fire rate), which would work really nicely for this theme.

I couldn’t care less about african or american civs honestly.
But more asian ones are always welcomed.

South America could work. Meso America I think might be too difficult to make a civ that is actually different from Aztecs and Mayans. North America is technologically even worse than Meso America, so I don’t think it would ever be a suitable AoE2 civ DLC candidate. I like they idea of South Asian and African civs, as well as possibly the Pacific.

Ummm…
The written records of Americans and Africans are so less that it’s hard to create more contents for them, especially the former’s are really rare. In comparison, Asia is such a broad continent with large population and plenty of old detailed records. It makes no sense if the civs having rich history like Chinese, Japanese and Persians get no priority to receive more campaigns.

BTW, the potential American and African DLC contents in my opinion:

  • America:
Muisca and Mapuche are the most possible one.
Chimu was conquered by Incas and may be similar to them probably.
Iroquois has less records but it is the most powerful candidate of North America already.

  • Africa:
People have discussed about Swahili, Kongo and Zimbabwe but I regard that they could be combined into one Bantu civ well.
Sahelians could represent the Hausa states and the Kanem–Bornu Empire.
Nubians and Vandals also are the attractive options, the later could mix the element of Alans.

  • Oceanians
Polynesians is the only suitable candidate.

That allows for some creative liberties.Like a north american civ probably wouldn’t have gunpowder, but almost anything else is fair game because we simply don’t have records. Metal weapons and horses were both introduced as soon as they met other cultures, so its fine for these to exist in some hypothetical conflict. Would be pretty cool to see a native american civ with both light cav and eagles, but lacking knights and camels.

This is in the Aoe3 time frame not in the middle ages.NA cultures would be same as mesos with only eagles.

Sahel is a geographical term that would be like having a asian civi.

Like how? no one knew about them in the middle ages.Do we even know of 10 ruler names or a wonder building for them? And what building set can they use?

If anything African is to be added it should be a correct skin for the archers of the eyes. They are not white crossbow man wearing 15th century armor.

There’s already a lot of crossover between AoE2 and AoE3 lol

Like both games having content related to Tokugawa

Current time frame as of now is from 400 to 1600 so we can have Scythians and Romans show up too but do we really need to?
